The Old Folks Home

I used to like Southern Comfort, but that was a few decades ago when I was young. Now, I like a porn star; the drink not the shooter. Very nice and crisp. I asked for something blue colored and tasty...and that's what I got. Been my go to ever since. :clap
Last time I had something Blue and alcoholic was in the Caribbean :thgot me in trouble  bartender bought it for me. That was 37 years ago.

We have been going to Stony Creek on the Snow mountain wilderness trail since the early 1980s on Memorial day weekend. Some years we go more times too.

It is called Stony creek for a reason!

There was a lot of water up there this year. I have a picture of one of the little waterfalls and also a video. I will get the video up later

My DW made down there this year. We were not able to make it there the past two years because of her motor cycle accident.

My Youngest DD and her boyfriend had a great time!

My Oldest DD and her fiance walked further up the tail to deafy glade and part of the trail to the top of the mountain. The top is over 7000 ft.

It was a very full day!

I forgot to post a picture of the lady bugs. They swarm at the creek this time of year. There weren't as many as usual due to the wet and colder than normal spring but there were some!

on the hoof or pop in a can
What's pop in a can? Abattoir?:D

Trailered him an hour to the auction mart. From there

Gosh...such a gorgeous bull! But a gorgeous bull does not a good bull make.:( His calves were too big & too dumb...very little vigor at all. The bull got out last night. The bull goes down the road today. DH has zero tolerance for that.

The bull will make a lot of high quality, tasty burger. It sucks. He was a fine tempered fellow. We hate shipping animals. :(

Oh, now I get it!!! Jameson is alcohol! DUH! I don't "partake" myself. The strongest thing I've had in over a decade is a double espresso

Me on alcohol? Don't think the world is ready for that!!!! :lau
I can count on one hand how many times I've had alcohol in the last few years...lol. A glass or 2 every Christmas. Yep...super predictable.:D

Does irish cream in my espresso count? There is not much alcohol in the tablespoon I add but it sure tastes good!

Morning everyone.
Bright sunny day outside. Temps to be in the upper 70s. Agenda for the day, kill a tree for firewood. Sounds terrible but we are in fact clearing out timber from around our pond that was getting so dense that you couldn't even get to the pond on the West and North sides unless you had a machete in hand. So far we have taken down approximately 40 trees 5" to 14" diameter trunks and have maybe 10 or more to go. They all get chained into rounds, hauled back to the barn with the bucket tractor to be split and piled to cure for next winter's heating. We are running behind this year partially due to bad weather and partially to bad backs, LOL.

Second project, put stupid bantam hen in the broody buster cage and listen to her complain.

Third project. Start cleaning out the coop.

Forth project, cut weeds around blackberry plants, weed garden
Fifth project.......drink more coffee and contemplate projects.:caf
:clap....:th
