The Old Folks Home

I ended up telling the one (crazyneighborlady) that 2 year old Benn must have planted that tree with his mom and that's why she buried him under it, completely away from the rest of the family.

Then she said "really?" to which I replied, "no, he was actually a vampyre and that's why he's in his own cemetery"

I'm going to hell.

:lau I would have died laughing!

I finished processing the boys from the easter hatch today. On the processing thread a pipe cutter from home depot was recommended and I finally started using it. It is awesome!

Give it a try next time it is processing time.

They mowed, and baled hay in the field across the driveway yesterday. It was fun to watch, but today my allergies are going insane.

When we get a lot of rain here, the ants seek higher ground. Not often, but occasionally we get a few ants that come up through the bathtub drain. Dh went nuts today. Grabbed the Comet cleanser, and went to town. That was a good thing, BUT he also grabbed a pool chlorine tablet, and proceeded to dissolve some of it, and wash it down the drain. NOT good. Then he put the remainder of the tablet in the toilet tank. REALLY NOT good. We have a septic tank.

I printed out a guide for him on the care, and maintenance on septic systems, especially the list of what not to put down the drains. It's not like I haven't told him this before. He knows I pour oils, and grease out, and wipe the pan before washing them, so as not to get any buildup in the septic system. I've commented several times that I was surprised the house had a garbage disposal, with a septic system, but I'm a bit careful about what, and how much I put in it. Well, he read the guide, asked some questions, and hopefully it will sink in.

I feel your pain. I have a DH that truly believes you can put dishes with food chunks on them straight into the dishwasher. :he You don't know how many times I've made him look at the floor of the dishwasher to see that there's no garbage disposal down there. I love him dearly, but it makes me crazy having to unload dirty dishes, rinse them & reload them, then take them out again to put away. When my MIL was here for 3wks I noticed she did that too, so now I know where he gets that. Every time I would leave the house MIL would try to unload the dishwasher. My kids would tell her to leave them because they weren't clean yet. She'd say, "Well, they look clean, lets just put them away anyway." :barnie:sick

broom, Dh and I used to have that fight with my old dishwasher. He drove me crazy doing that. We have a newer dishwasher now, and it has a food grinder (like a mini garbage disposal), so now we are both happy.

 Does it really??? I've got to look into that!!! :thumbsup
