I AGREE! Spouse was not impressed with the movie.

It is from 2004, so she was young and cute then young and hot in the movie (she changes style...pre and post catwoman transformation )

In a nutshell (for those who don't want to follow the link): the construction company building the new Bonner bridge to Hatteras Island put something where they shouldn't have, and damaged/severed the underground cable(s) carrying power to the islands of Hatteras and Okracoke. Depending on the damage and how easily the needed materials can be acquired, it could be days or weeks before power is restored. Authorities have decided this is a safety issue, and ordered all non-residents off of Okracoke (which is only accessible by ferry). As this is the height of tourist season, there are an estimated 10,000 visitors on Okracoke. Even though Hatteras Island won't be evacuated, there are still an awful lot of vacation homes that won't be occupied due to a lack of AC and other modern conveniences. The impact on the local economy is potentially as catastrophic as a hurricane. Wouldn't you hate to be the person who made that decision?

We had a Utility emergency on my block last night. I drove down the lane I live on to find the end of the road closed and water gushing out of a broken water main in the street. Of course water was out at the house. It was 102 and no water for the misting system.
Chickens were fine though. I am down to 6 hens and they are 3 pita pintas and 3 trader joes chicks. They both handle heat well.

The rod is still closed and there is a big hole in the road. Water was back on at 8 last night.
