Finished my bee skep table runner today...

Then promptly started another - got it assembled but have to stitch around each letter and umbrella part. Trying to get caught up on stuff I already bought or have fabric for, although I plan to almost immediately start an outhouse quilt that I have to buy fabric for.

So it can keep you warm while you are in the outhouse this winter?:lau

Honestly I'm not sure why but it came to us and we have to do it.

scg, I LOVE the bee skep table runner. It's beautiful!

Thank you. I don't often keep my works, but this one is proudly already on the table.

Where are you going to find outhouse themed fabric? Even finding fabric with wood grain can be difficult. I made my husband a quilt with gingerbread men on it since he likes to eat them, but he thought it looked too juvenile. Humbug!
Maybe once i sell these kittens i will start another quilt. Lots of fabric on hand!

And I like mostly dark colors and the cool tones. There are no warm tones in my pallet with the exception of my brown chickens...lol.

I used to like mostly blue. Painted one house...outside white with dark blue trim, each room a different shade of blue. Yeah....lots of paint cans...in hindsight, not sure what I was thinking....

Next house, outside was brick..inside I did white walls and some rooms got dark blue trim, others dark green.

After living in the frozen north........ WARM COLORS!!!!! Coldest color is the yellow/green in my bedroom and bath. And yeah. ...I still like wasting cans of paint, because they are different colors. The bathroom even is two colors...one dark color green (with a bit of yellow in it, so a warm green) for where the toilet and window are, and a slightly light shade of the same color for the part where the sink and shower are. ....and the lightest shade in the bedroom.

Downstairs is different shades of peach. I couldn't go full on red or orange..... except for one wall of the pantry...fire engine red.

Great quote on the raining/umbrella runner.

The chandelier or the outhouse?
the out house.... No door the wind kept blowing it off... So there you were au'natural viewing the scenery of BLM land and Mexico... next day it was sticks.

View from the outhouse.... The mountains in the distance are in Baja Mexico as the crow flies the border is about one and a half miles away.

My ex roommates dog Sadie sitting guard duty... she was responsible for the house blowing down. She dug a nest hole next to it and the foundation gave way.

But She was a Rhodesian Ridgeback... Sweet Sweet dog perfect for the climate and a good guard duty dog.
