The Old Folks Home

Thankfully I wasnt in it.... :lau... I didnt get the nerve to look ine for almost a year. then I had all the rotten wood hauled away. and it was all rotten.

It never had a propper hole dug though. just a bit of a depression. It was used very seldom so everything just disappeared in time.

Did I mention we have a perk rate that is off the charts?

It disappears because the coyotes eat it. Why do you think they sound so mournful?

LOL.... No Poo eating coyotes around here...

They have Jack Rabbit, Cotton Tail, Bush Bunny, Kangaroo Rat, Church mouse, Desert mouse, Voles, Ground squirrel, Quail, and the occasional lizard... Not to mention the chicken, Dogs, and Cats, and anyone's Garbage... if available.

My cats lived exactly fifteen minutes if they got outside. Dogs about the size of a German shepherd were reasonably safe...

Thats why my dogs come in at night and I will never have cats again. When I move up there again there will be a major Hotwire installation.

You can have some our bugs. Got a special on tent caterpillars. All your chickens can eat.
Ewwww.
See...your place IS tempting....the mucky Florida swamp...nope.

Ha! My kids once got so many leeches on their feet, it looked like they were wearing socks!!! :lau :lau

Super funny!!

I had to stand them in a pot and pour salt over their feet..over and over....then I stuck them both in a bath with all the rest of the salt.
......ick...ewww, ewwww. I'd seriously lose my mind if that happened to me.
That would be awesome, but we would miss our dreams. I was just dreaming about being 17 again. Actually stopped traffic in Rome wearing my hot pants and halter top! The nuns were crossing themselves! Oh, to look like that again!
*sigh* X 2 :th

OK y'all! Quick chicken questions. I mentioned I got a surprise cackle box the not knowing kills me. So I've got three golden spangled appenzueller spitzhaubens and this little guy that I absolutely can't I identify.

So the irony of coming back after 3 years MIA I now legit work in an old folks home lol! I'm a nurse over 40 nursing home residents that I adore! Just thought that was funny! View attachment 1103905
An assortment box. :love I cannot help...but what a lovely chick!

Lets see, if you start when you are 18, and have a kid every year then you might be 23 , if you don't mess with more than one woman. I never heard of an old 23 year old. Besides having kids is easy on the guy. He just plays with them. I am going to let you stay because i like you.:lau
Nah, we spread them out lol. Had one graduate this yr and youngest is starting kindergarten this fall.
And having kids is not easy on the guy, I was traumatized for life
And we work different hrs and never have used a babysitter so each of us has spent half their lives driving us insane
I was a bicentennial baby so not 'elderly' yet but starting to not feel like raising hell anymore.
Went bullhead fishing with DD#2 last night on the way back to the truck she had the lantern and I was carrying most the stuff. Never thought I'd have to tell one of my kids to slow down let me catch up, thought I was always going to be telling them to hurry up and keep up...

The funeral company had my Dads remains for quite a while. The day of the funeral, i was dressed in black and on my way to pick up relatives when i got a call. They forgot to cremate him! So we had to postpone to the next day! Can you imagine? Do not use Browns Funeral home in Bradenton, FL, they are idiots!
 Oh my...that's terrible!

Yeah, if i had known we could just have gone ahead with the funeral. Who would know if ashes were in the urn or not? I was busy crying. One person came across the state to get there, and my brother came from NY.
True. No one would've known. Here lots of people have the service with the ashes...and bury them at a later date. Usually when it's happened in winter.
