The Old Folks Home

??? Micro, you keep (at least twice that I've seen) referring/responding to SCG, and it seems you're actually responding to posts from Deb... Am I missing something? (It's entirely possible as I've become much more fallible with age :duc:oops:)

Nah, I'm probably the one missing something, LOL

What I think I am doing is responding to both Perchi Girl and Superchemical girl in the same post and tagging SCG when addressing her....I think. Too early in the morning to count on my brain working and it isn't floating in enough coffee yet.

I'm slicing pears for the dehydrator. We have three Asian Pear trees left. The others self destructed due to fire blight and heavy fruit load. DH pointed out that the trees aren't strong enough to support their mature fruit. Flaw in their development or a problem with our soil?

Two of the trees are full of pears and I've decided to dehydrate them for snacks instead of canning this year as I have pears left over in the pantry from last year.

I've got to do that this afternoon as well.

For the past three nights I've gone out and found a bantam pullet sitting on the roof of the coop and walking the fence rail. I have no idea how she is getting out or in for that matter as I can go back 15 minutes later and she's back in the run. Today I find her escape route.

Thank you. Just saw this. I figured last night she was just tired, but twice, yeah... CALL HER OUT! :lau

I am all done chiseling. Another 4 hours today... and just when I thought I was done I discovered that the person previously "fixing" the stone poured glue all over the bottom of the stone in an attempt to glue it back into the base that was fubar because of the concrete... because of course there'd also be glue to chisel off.

Only 2 people out looking at me today - but one was Tom from Tom's Rubbish (Free Samples!).

Home to use the potty and get something to eat, then mix some mortar and head out to FINISH THIS BABY UP TONIGHT. Thank you baby Jesus.
