The Old Folks Home

@ronott1 I brought some of my starter to work to share with a lady already, it seems quite happy. I will try actually cooking with it this weekend and see how that turns out. I may make a brick, don't know, never baked bread before... Also found a crape recipe that uses unfed starter that would normally be discarded... May try that this weekend as well.
crumpets use unfed starter too.

Sourdough Crumpets
Place 1 cup of (unfed) starter in a 4-cup measuring cup, or a medium bowl. Stir in 1 tsp sugar and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and baking soda. Whisk together.

Grease 4-inch crumpet rings (or eyeball the crumpet size) and place on a griddle/skillet on low/medium heat. Fill the rings with about 1/4-inch of batter (don’t overfill). Cook over low heat until the tops are set and full of holes and start to lose their shine. Remove the rings and flip the crumpets and cook the other side until lightly browned.
Cool on a rack and toast before serving to brown further and crisp. Eat with butter and jam.
Makes about 8

Note: Don’t need to use a crumpet ring—just make a circle with the dough.

Took the kids when it came out in theater.
One of the best movies I've watched that yr, was skeptical on it 'eutopia'...thought it was going to be crappy political, was not and one of the best movies ever (I watch a lot of kids movies..) another good one was Inside Out, loved that one also.

I had my doubts, too - when I started watching it, I was afraid it was going to turn out to be just another "girl power" movie. But when the rabbit teams up with a fox, our progressive-thinking bunny realizes she has prejudices of her own to work on.

And hey, at least with a kids' movie, you know you have a good chance of coming out of the theater feeling better than when you went in.

Pear preserves are great to Ron. You can always use them in a pie later on. I do and we love it. I use an Apple pie recipe and my Dh can't get enough of it. My grandchildren love the preserves right out of the jar. I do add a bit of cinnamon in mine.
I like them out of the jar too--or on top of waffles with maple syrup!
