Someone at work has a pear tree that drops the pears into the yard and makes a sticky mess. He brings me a bucket of fallen pears about once a week. Sometimes the pears are nice, and I skin them and make canned spiced pears, but most of the time they're pretty punky and my god the goats love them.

Where do I work? Dairy plant, 100yrs old+. Make cottage cheese and sour cream, Breakstones....Kraft/Heinz owns it now...

The whole age difference thing...My MIL is 63, FIL, 79... I think he will live longer than her, he deals with way less stress, still loves his beer  love the guy. If you met him you'd swear he was maybe pushing it 69?... Not even, maybe 59 lol.
More likely hyperthyroidism. Hypo means low.
:thumbsup Good catch! I meant hyper...I really need to watch my posts better when using this new tablet!

What a great friend to give you dropped pears!

I should can some pears...I have not done that in a long time!

Or is pear butter a better idea?

(sounds like a tongue twister....)

@ronott1 I brought some of my starter to work to share with a lady already, it seems quite happy. I will try actually cooking with it this weekend and see how that turns out. I may make a brick, don't know, never baked bread before... Also found a crape recipe that uses unfed starter that would normally be discarded... May try that this weekend as well.
