The Old Folks Home

My first "big" concert was in 2010 to AC DC. We've caught Bon Jovi, Theory of a Deadman (they're canadian), Nazareth, Guns and Roses (prior to getting back together) and Brian Adams. Oh...we saw Kenny Rodgers in the 90s. I liked them all.

ACDC was the least expensive...lol. Nazareth was the most comfortable...it was held in a theater! :clap Theory of a Deadman rocked the hardest and was probably my favorite.

Brian Adams was the last concert we saw;it was last fall. I have an entirely new respect for him and his music. He had no front band and entertained us for several songs past the encore. I've never seen anyone carry the whole concert like he did.

I'd like to see Disturbed just once. And maybe Halestorm if they were close. I'm getting to old to want to go to concerts...staying home is just so much easier. :)

When I lived in California I went to several concerts that I enjoyed. Rush was pretty awesome I also took my daughter to see Elvis Costello. ! And I saw many bands at Disneyland on the weekends can't recall all of them the Who and Four Tops I can recall. lol I used to let my daughter go with her friends to Disneyland to see the bands with her friends we lived in Anaheim so we were very close only 10 minutes away. We could see the fireworks every night from the porch. :)

That's beyond cool! We went to Bryan Adams (mispelled that earlier) because he was close, 1.5 hours away. Most bands don't come any closer than 4 hours away. I'm exhausted before I even get there.:lau

The boy and Dh would've loved to see Elvis Costello, The Who and The Four Tops.

Why the double standard, or why the different reaction?
I guess why the different reaction. Like you said if it had been women's pics they would have been up in arms but seeing that it was men they were probably just having their egos built up. I'm just an old country boy here but do most women really feel like objects in situations like that? And I mean no disrespect to no female at all. I have the highest regard for them. I'm just befuddled some time.:old

We did drive nearly 2 hrs. to see Tears for Fears in B'ham it was worth it even though we sat on the grass at the Amphitheater. I like Bryan Adams and would have liked to see him in concert.

Cynthia that is a cute puppy!

Oh yea, The Four Tops. Wonder how much the members has changed over the decades?

I was going to update about the ducks...and I got off track.:lau

I can't remember what I had posted so hopefully all this is new information...lol. The ducks did very well. I think I already posted that they started hatching out in the morning and were all done by that evening. I now understand how messy they are now...lol. Oy!

They ended up not being Mallards at all. They are blue winged teals. The above two pics are the last two ducks. I put them in every night and the one night they didn't like the cat being outside the fence. All four flew up and away into our pasture. I felt sick with worry. The next morning these two were back in the fence...lol. That was a fantastic surprise!

So I took a bunch pictures of them. Which was a good thing because the one stayed for another day and it was gone...we didn't see her leave. The last one, the one with the darker wing color stayed for a couple of days and then he was gone too. We assume 3 were female as they looked the same. The last darker one we weren't certain.

Fast forward to a couple days ago and I was headed out to the field with the combine. Lo and behold...there's 4 young ducks swimming in the pond that's across from our coop. The one rose up and flapped in the water and I could see it had the darker markings like the one we had. It's impossible to be 100% certain they're the ones we raised...but we have pretty good suspicions.:ya I watch for them every time I go past and there they are all together. I see a few other blue winged teals in that pond...but the four ducks are always together. Here's a pic I took of the four when I saw them from the combine. :yesss:

I had to look them up on You tube...lol. I'm not quite up with that genre as the guys are here. I imagine they'll have changed a bit. I'm always saddened when I hear of the different people I've grown up with, passing away.
