Welcome to BYC and the rocking chair club Lol! Not all of us are 'mature' in age I think maybe, ... Don't remember
Anyway, what's the rooster in your pic?
Delaware? Light Sussex?
I used to have a water bed, then I slept with a knife one night (don't know why), and that was the end of that... so then I got an air mattress, at least if I popped that one everything wouldn't get wet... then the cats poked it full of holes... I could pump it up and by morning it would be flat as a pancake... so I gave up, tossed the mattress and folded up a comforter to fit... that worked and didn't go flat!I remember the first time our family used air mattresses when I was a kid. They were awesome! Didn't have to pick out a spot out in the tent where a rock didn't poke you in the back.
Then by morning you had a rock poking you in the back cause the stupid awesome air mattress deflated... parents ended up letting us re-inflate them and use the in the lake for boats/surfboards so they were still awesome...
I just started raising my 5 chickens. One mistake I made was starting with 3 chickens and adding 2 more. My original chickens kept pecking on the newbys. Now after one month they have adjusted to each other. I am preparing for the cold winter months ahead and needing to put electricity down to my chicken coop. I wish I had a automatic door opener for my chicken coop so I don't have to open up the door before heading out to work !
