The Old Folks Home

Sometimes people just get busy with their tangible lives. It's not personal when we have to check out for a bit. I was sucked into my bathroom/master suite renovation for the last 5 weeks. Stressful to have multiple tradesfolks traipsing through your house from dawn on. All schedules get disrupted and I felt like I was grounded and my room was just rubble. I have noticed quite a bit of hair loss, which happens when I'm stressed. (I wish it was weight loss. Sigh.....)

I have some BEFORE and AFTER photos. Unfortunately, my camera for the "afters" isn't wide lens, so you'll get bits and pieces. There is a TV installed above the new tub, my own guilty pleasure. Renovations/remodeling included removing the white shag carpet in the breakfast room, master bedroom, master bathroom and closets and putting down new tile, new paint throughout, and then removing the ghastly 1980's nightmare of pink porcelain/yellow cultured marble/brass and putting in granite and oil-rubbed bronze. We also had the shower enlarged and more electricals put in (LED lights, sconces, dimmers.) Contractor hasn't put the before/after panoramas up on his website yet, but this will give you the gist.

Very nice!
A nice relaxing bath and a show on the new TV should help with the stress

We went with quartz for the kitchen and bathroom counters. It is much nicer than tile

The last time gryeyes posted on BYC was when there were fires in her area and she had to leave and couldn't rescue the animals she had in another location. Didn't hear from her . Much later someone told me she was on the facebook group. MUCH BETTER NEWS than thinking she expired.
