The Old Folks Home

I'm hearing a nice steady rain on the metal roof.

Back when I was working first shift I went to bed on a night like this and one of the apartment building tenants next door started playing "I Love A Rainy Night" over and over and over again with the woofers and tweeters shaking the windows. I had to be up at 5 so after about a half of an hour of burying my head in pillows I called the non emergency number for the local police and told the dispatcher that I Loved A Rainy Night as much as the next guy but listening to it for almost 45 minutes when I had to get up in six hours to go to work was a little more than I could take. And to make my point I held the phone up to the window so she could hear it. She about died laughing and told me they'd send somebody over to talk to the tenant. 10 minutes later....silence.

I love a rainy night love a rainy night I love to heart the thunder see the lighting as it lights up the sky..........time for bed. Night all.

Hey Wickedchicken6 Que Pasa!!! Love the Avatar!

I love Halloween. Probably one of my top three holidays. I keep adding to the decorations even though out where we live there are no trick or treaters and the nearest child relatives we have are 200+miles away. Must be my inner kid working it's way to the surface again....still.....

I would give anything if I could take the anti-infammatory NSAIDS that are out there. Most of them tear my stomach up with the exception of Tylenol and Enteric coated aspirin. Aleve works but I can only take it for about 4 days then I'm having problems with stomach pain and GERD. Thank goodness for Tylenol.
Thanks micro!! It'll be changing tonight again...lol. :wee

I've always wanted to construct an amazing cemetery with the creepy lights and everything. One day....one day. :celebrate I say let the inner kid play. ;)

I'm just waiting for that day when my stomach can't handle the NSAIDS. I'm trying to limit them as much as I can and still function. I've been doing more icing than I ever have. That's been working quite well now that I have proper ice packs...lol.

You know it makes me feel good.
Well, I love a rainy night; it's such a beautiful sight.
I love to feel the rain on my face;
taste the rain on my lips,
in the moonlight shadows.

We used to put up lots of decorations for Halloween, like more than Xmas! We lived near an elementary school and we would get 2-300 kids every year to see our display. I had tons of real and artificial pumpkins, a cemetary, three fog machines and much more! One year we even had a real snake show up on one of the tables. I always made a costume and dressed up. It was great fun!

we still have a ball dressing up for little ones we have a close to haunted a house for them ghosts coming up the drive a pallet with eerie lights and bloody body parts a coffin the creeks open skeletons and that is just to start

Oh wow!!! :clap That sounds like a ton of fun!!! We have no kids that come or anything. But we're on a main gravel road with a fair amount of traffic. And two school busses go past. :wee There's a place on the way to the city that pulls up an old grainery every year; they have a creepy singing/swinging girl and other animatronics. They also have a partial cemetery. We love going past and seeing the display every year. Every year they add to it. I'm betting your display was very much appreciated. :highfive:
