I might need another incubator for my meat bird project. This boy is only a few months old. He was a really fast grower, too. I plan to cross him with my cornish hens and see what happens. You can see he's just as big as my 5 month old goat. Of course my cornish need to grow up a bit, they're not close to laying, yet.




Has anyone tried the butter pecan ice cream recipe yet? Did you also have good results?

Not that bad. A bit desperate, maybe, but not insanely so. I once ate Nutella right out of the jar with a spoon because I had eaten all the bread (with Nutella on it).

I can't remember how many hens have died now of internal laying... at least 8 that I can recall... and I have one that is laying atrocities.

x2, heehee Broke it to DH this evening that we had a hen go broody, soo...of course, I just had to slip her some eggs. After he had asked me Not to incubate, but...he didn't say anything about a hen incubating... The smarty pants said, "great, now we can sell the incubator!" I about flipped..."No Way, I say.... So far, it's all good. However, don't think I'd win the debate on getting another one 'cause it's on sale, heehee I don't know, mighty tempting!! Chirp

Thanks Chicka, on the mend, up and at it today...just some old parts that need a bit of resting every now and then! Glad Oz made it back to his family and doing the chicken 'bator thing!
