The Old Folks Home

Cookies, cake....never met one I didn't like, LOL.

I was looking through papers today and found my moms old recipe for Sour Cream Chocolate Cake.My whole problem with baking is that I am afterwards compelled to eat whatever I bake. So is DH. As we are both watching our weight I try not to bake too often. With the holidays coming up, I'd rather save my appetite for pumpkin pie and cookies till then.

Perchie, you will do fine. The band isn't nearly as invasive as the full gastric bypass. It's just like anything else. You have to be ready to do it mentally before you can do it physically. Plus remember, you have your personal pep squad here to cheer you on and offer moral support!

Been dealing with stuff.... health issues.... still not resolved.... still going through diagnostics, I still have an MRI and a biopsy to go through... Not my regular doc...

Finally talked with my doctor and we have a game plan.... that in of itself was a relief. With all my health issues Diabetes, Blood pressure, Dizziness, Obesity.... She said once we get this issue dealt with have you considered Bariatric surgery...

I said HeLLYeah.... I have NO idea why that cheered me up.... but it did.

So still scared but hopefulll
Rooting for you Deb! Your one of the first 'friends' I've had on BYC. I know all your plans will fall into place one day.

Gastric sleeve is different from the Lap Band.... Though both are good for the fact that they dont remove part of the intestine.

I been doing research on it and other options for quite some time.... even considered having the surgery done in Mexico.
