Can't have makeup, jewelry or even long or painted nails at work. I'm a bit of a tomboy anyway, so that's fine with me, most of the time. I might rebel tomorrow and wear earrings just so my holes don't close up. Gotta do it once or twice a year.

I completely understand not being able to wear jewelry or long nails...but makeup surprises me.

I was fine having the first hole in my ears. Since I got the second holes...I've had nothing but trouble with red and swollen ear lobes every time I put earrings in. So I stopped using earrings. When I stood up in my sis's wedding party, I was surprised the first holes had grown shut. I'd had them since grade 1. One of the other bridesmaids made new holes. Not really the high point of my day.


Coming from being a complete tomboy my entire life (I've had 2-3 polishes most of my life)...it's not only shocking to me but to most other people who haven't seen me for a while that my nails are done. It's kinda fun to shock others.

I only got into nail/nail art in 2013 when I couldn't do anything but lie around waiting on my back. It kept me from going insane. There's only so much programming one can do to the landline phones.

my ears have been pierced since I was 13? or so step Brother 6'4 me 4'9 back then he said he was my parent signed for me we both caught dutch when we went home but never had issues to recently had one here wanting to close all of a sudden hadn't worn any since had to surrender 09 now do it at least once a week bought cheep but hypo allergenic earrings... I wear a Saint Christopher one of kids I mentored gave me and a small piece of my Ma's ashes in a little jug... I wear the necklace allot Deb made for me I love it but do take it off to shower and sleep the other I dont

Omg, you just made me think of an incident years ago when we lived in an apartment with a shared bathroom in the hall! I went in there one time after there had been extensive partying. Some guy had totally missed the toilet and used the waste can instead!

I work in a cleanroom - so no makeup. Anything that can "shed" particles is bad.

I also wear Deb's necklace when I go out (mostly to Cemetery Committee meetings, I rarely get out) and on occasion if I'm not working, I'll wear makeup. I wore mascara to hike Yosemite, and got sprayed by Bridelveil Fall... which caused the mascara to melt into my eyeballs and gawd that was painful.

I only got 3 of my 4 outhouse blocks done today... much slower going than I had anticipated.

Wow, looking good! I have one end left to make in the solar cage.

I wish the solar cage would work up here but that would require that we actually have a glowing orb in the sky.

we have kinda looked at doing the solar here now they will actually charge with cloudy days they have evolved quite a bit

You could make a compost bin base instead. That is what i plan for back up.
