We went to Millers Ferry in Camden, AL. for a little bit Sunday.

I am sorry about the lack of sleep. I managed 6.59 hours last night minus 9 though. Deep was 3hours and 50 minutes. Light was 3Hours. Not bad for me. I often have less deep sleep. This is from my fitness tracker.Ugh sleep. I got maybe 90 minutes last night and I don't know why.
Gotta love insomnia.
Trying to catch up since I was gone yesterday...lol. Alpacas don't go in a nice pile? When we were moving our llamas to a new pen...I always took a shovelful of their pellets and dumped it where I wanted them to go. That always was enough to convince them to go where I wanted them to...lol. It's one of my favorite traits about them.So I need the alpacas to go poop on the compost pile? Of course I would have to move it behind the barn. Not that the chickens would mind. Of course the alpacas don't make a tidy pile. After it gets to a certain height they understandably move along a bit and start a new one. I think the current "active" location is about 50' from where they started a year ago. One long trail of poop slowly degrading.
What a cool idea! I have a BYC folder, and I've got a subfolder of cool pics from members. I'm going to put this pic in their to show the fam!@Cynthia12! Happy Birthday!
As for winters, they are slightly different here than what we were used to in IL.
Here we usually get at least one ice event where we get anywhere from a quarter to a half inch of ice. Then we will get ice and snow then all snow. Usually the worst weather doesn't hit till January. Temps like today are going to be near 60, but it can swing around really fast and have highs in the 20-30s and the lows in the sub zeros. It always seems to be damp in the winter here also, which is probably why Marek's just loves the area. By the end of Feb the temps start to moderate a bit but it can stay chilly here until the of May first of April.
In preparation for the sure to come ice storm, and remembering my crash and burn with a broken rib during the last ice event, DH made 'ice grips' for me on a pair of my old boots:

He used hex head 1/4inch sheet metal screws that he used to use on his motorcycle for winter riding.
According to California, everything can cause cancer!I am sorry about the lack of sleep. I managed 6.59 hours last night minus 9 though. Deep was 3hours and 50 minutes. Light was 3Hours. Not bad for me. I often have less deep sleep. This is from my fitness tracker.
In an article I read, the claim was that lack of sleep is a carcinogen. I do not know if that is true though
I'm not sure I can delete my apps. I think I've deleted one by accident. When we first got the phones I went through and disabled some of the apps I didn't want updating on. But for the most part I've decided to embrace google and have the main google apps update and keep me informed. The landscape is changing so much, I don't want to be left behind. It's a fight to keep up as it is.I could but I don't think it would matter they would fill up any size. It's just crazy!
I should be able to stop some of these apps from doing these updates without them turning them back on with their updates. They don't even give us a choice!
It's our phone when we buy it we should be able to get rid of the ones we don't want to use!
I can't remember how far I read yesterday while in the truck, but here one can buy the new phones or go with a zero down phone. All the phones we've ever gotten are 0 down phones; they are usually the model that's on it's way out. It doesn't cost anything to get the phone but you have to sign into a contract of 2 years, which we do anyway. When we got our Samsung 8's two years ago the Samsung 6's were out and the 7's came out not long after. We're ok with getting the slightly older models. Being in fashion is not our thing...saving money is our thing. The new phones are a lot nicer. Memory management is better and you can get more onto the external memory storage.
I buy my phone from amazon and the add it to my sprint account. It winds up being less expensive that a contract
I haven't looked, but I'm assuming the Samsung 8 will be the phone we'll be getting. I look forward to that if we decide it's in our best interest to change up our contracts. Otherwise we'll just stay grandfathered in with the phones we have. The new android operating system does a better job of storing stuff on the cards.
I use dropbox to store photos though. That way they are available on all my devices
The phone carriers do not do zero down and then a monthly service charge now, except maybe for very low level phones. They charge a fee for the phone that equals or is more than the cost of the phone. Another way they get you is on sales tax. If you get a refurbished phone that will cost you 300.00 over two years in monthly charges, they charge sales tax on the retail value of the phone-- Say 800.00. For me, that is 8.25% * $800.00= $66.00 in sales tax. If Amazon charges sales tax it would be .0825 * $300= $25.35.I'm not sure I can delete my apps. I think I've deleted one by accident. I already contribute to google maps, I use it extensively for seeing a new bus route I have to drive or finding parts we're being sent for. Drives me crazy when places are wrong. I'm have whack of photos I still need to upload and I'm in the top levels of contributing. I find that funny.
I can see the positives of say, google tracking you. I allow it now and am in the process of seeing how I like it. I think it's maybe good to have proof of where a person has been and at what times. A person is no longer innocent until proven guilty...it's more guilty until you can prove your innocent. I was ticketed last year and wasn't able to successfully prove I was innocent. In this day and age where you're a number and there is no personableness, cameras are everywhere tracking a person's every move anyways. Perhaps it's beneficial to have a timeline of your life for proof that's on your side. Now we just have to get cameras in the vehicles. It was an eye opener for me.

We usually change the phones if possible, it doesn't cost us any more money, and we then have our old phone as a replacement phone should anything happen to the new phone once is off warranty.Forking out $600-$800 for a new phone isn't in the budget.
I haven't used drop box yet. I'm hesitant that someone will hack all my chicken pictures.![]()
