The Old Folks Home

Our Joann's doesnt have a big selection and I have to work this week.
BF is late shift, just got home and informed me my laptop was unplugged. Oh, it was.

:lau

funny. Sorry it messed up your shopping. Did you buy your stuff anyway?

2 pumpkin pies and one custard out of the oven and cooling. Prime Rib is in the crock pot, potatoes are in and will be ready to roast as soon as I get them scrubbed and seasoned. All I have left to do is my sourdough dinner rolls along with a veggie and I'm done.

Man I love it when a plan comes together....

Sounds so good! I am wishing for that custard pie! :wee

Gotta love good roosters!

I hope the hawks stay away. Are these migrating? It is a dangereous time of your for hawk attacks

We have so many raptors up here. Just 2 days back we heard some noise and looked out. A hawk of some sort was sitting on the snow, trying to rip open the fence on the tractor to get at the mama and baby duck that were in there.

@Alaskan, 18 there also? That's a bummer when a temp in the midwest matches Alaskan winter temps.

I live in the Alaskan banana belt... doesn't get that cold here.

I with everyone on the prep... 2 pumpkin pies in the oven as well as a pumpkin bread I made with the leftover pie filling. Just checked them and added 10 minutes to cook time. Will start veggie prep here in a bit to save time tomorrow when the real cooking starts in earnest :drool:drool I was going to bake blueberry and apple pies but since it's just me and my Fave oldest daughter, I cheated and bought one of each as well as French vanilla ice cream to serve with the slices (warmed of course). Looking forward to tomorrow and ruining my already ruined girlish figure even more :yesss::plbb

We use those for kitty litter boxes for the cats. They are nice and roomy but the males still manage to miss it every now and then.:hmm It must be a universal talent in males of every species,

So...
While we may not excel at electricity and plumbing, we do excel at building things.
We switched to making our own litter boxes out of the covered storage totes that the big box stores sell. Cut a door about 3 to 4 inches up the one narrow side, add litter. My apologies for one picture having pee in it... we never have a clean litter box, the sharks circle daily when I go to clean it and fight for the rights to first pee.

After plug back in socket, did u order??

Of course, for $2 a yard flannel for pillowcases for my employees, I wasn't going to sit this one out. I also put all 16 fabrics into my Joann cart on my phone just in case I had to go that way. Luckily bf got home before midnight in order to troubleshoot.
