Totally been there. the joys of being a good pet parent.@penny1960, I'm so glad you got the hanging. I walked around the house trying to find a place that I could hang it and couldn't. Our home is on an open floor plan and every large 'open' wall area is already claimed.
Speaking of indulgences and not sleeping, Last night our cattle dog, the one that has degenerative myelopathy got a wild hair going and decided that he wanted to go outside at 11pm. Dingo has always enjoyed being out in nice weather during the full moon so he could chase varmints and I guess he decided that last night he realized that the moon was almost full. The spirit was willing even if the body is less than perfect. So after laying in bed and listening to him fuss at us about it (if he doesn't get what he wants he tends to lay and bark at us until we give in to his demands) I put him out in their fenced in section of yard where he'd be safely contained and can watch the woods from either the deck, under the deck in one of their dog houses, or from the yard and put his two younger buddies out with him to keep him company. So they went from barking in the house to barking outside and this morning I feel like this
It's going to be a long day.

And my kids are good and don't get jealous over it. They take good care of me.
