The Old Folks Home

I went to the Florida Urban Homesteading event. It was about 4 blocks away. They had canning demonstrations, rabbit killing, and cleaning demonstrations, and the mealworm seminar. It was GREAT! I watched the seminar. I bought a container of mealworm larvae in organic wheat bran, and the lady threw in some beetles too, and it came with instructions. And we're off.....

We aren't talking about stealing the horse, but if it wanders over to someone else's property without any effort or action on that person's part ;)

Yeah I'm just kidding, if one knows where a horse came from, surely they should return it. At least the first couple of times :gig

Laying on your back or front? I can't always lay flat on my back with no pillow without getting dizzy. Once horizontal I can slowly remove the pillow and be OK. Hang it over the edge? :sick

You lay on your back and let your head hang down over the edge.
To empty the tubes behind the ear. It does help but I guess in my case it does not last to long.
I found an antibiotic in the medicine cabinet and I am taking it. I googled it and it said it would work on an ear infection. So I am hoping I will get over this in a few days.

The trains from the 50s and the 80s still work but the front light is out in the locomotive. The whistle still works.

I had to replace 2 house lights but otherwise it was an easy set up. Sitting in here in the dark, now, with the tree and platform on and the wood stove cranked. It is lovely. The smell is amazing.

While I was at the Florida Homesteaders event, I entered in the raffle. Dh got a phone call, and I won first prize. I never win anything, but I did today. It was a mealworm farm. We went to pick it up. Between what I bought, and what I won, in about a month, I should be broke out with plenty of mealworms for my chickens.
