The Old Folks Home

Just a quick shoutout to @Wisher1000 who hasn't been seen round these here parts for ~2 months. Hope that you (she) had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are (is) getting ready for an equally enjoyable Christmas season, which is approaching at the speed of light... altogether too fast by my way of thinking, thank you very much...

Thank you for starting this wonderful online family referred to as "The Old Folks Home". I consider it a privilege to be counted a member of this family. Been a real pleasure getting to "know" all you fine folks. I can't recall a single "black sheep" among this family, which as many of us know and have experienced... any BS in the family is not always a good thing. ;)

OK... sentimental side returned to dead storage in the dark recesses of what's left of my mind. :p

Ditto: Well said Ls.

Wow Scg! You changed jobs because you trained someone? That's terrible. I'm so sorry.

I think that's just on the little community project SCG is involved in today.;) Hopefully she will get through the rest of the day without loss of blood.

I'm cranking out crocheted chickens (to hopefully sell) for as long as my thumbs hold out . . . . Maybe some cookie bakin' later?

I put my new garden flag up, over 50% off original price! I can't get used to no poinsettias outside. They did great in FL and added a splash of color to the yard!

My late aunt back in Central IL had a poinsettia that she kept alive long after Christmas. Come spring she set it outside in a big pot, and early fall, it bloomed! Everyone was amazed. I think they even did a write up about it in the news paper.

Not every day that a tropical poinsettia blooms in non tropical Pekin, IL.
