I just came in from doing pretty much the same thing (the waterers, not the hat ).
Still around -15 but felt much better since the sun is finally shining. Let the girls out into the greenhouse so they could get some sun (they were getting really fed up with being cooped up) while I switched out their water. The fresh I had put out earlier this morning was already frozen so I surrendered and hooked up the big heated waterer for them. They dove into it like they were in the desert. Gave them some cooked whole wheat spaghetti for a treat to peck on instead of each other and headed in to thaw out my nose, again.

Took my over 45 minutes to do a 10 minute job this morning. Chooks are all fine. No frostbite but lots of frozen water that I had to chip out of bowl and refill with warm water.

I have one of those silly hats that looks like a bear head. You know, they have ears and are shaggy fake fur. I walked into the bantam coop wearing it without thinking and they went ballistic. I'm sure they thought some huge wild animal dressed in a fleece lined camo coat with a bear head was going to kill and eat them all. I finally had to pull the hat off and say, 'Hey Guys it's ME!' before they would settle down. Lots of flying feathers and screaming until they saw it was me and calmed.

Chicki, glad you got the computer sorted out. They are wonderful until they decide not to work.

Some of my chickens Think I am going to kill them all the time! Unless they are hungry and then they are more friendly LOL

I an procrastinating today. I need to go give the big girls some Kale. They get cranky when I forget.

Boys are watching 12 days of Mythbusters---- only nature pulls them away, or mom using remote control. As in shutting off the TV. The adictive show is full of everything boys love: guns, fire, more guns, more fire, and insane creativity. Ya , I watch too.

showered alive glad to hear your all there at least time to go to the post office for my Christmas robe actually arrived yesterday ??? that is what amazon said
