The Old Folks Home

They are saying that the withdrawal rate for Roundup is 7-14 days. That is a pretty large margin of time.

Winter weather advisory for us tomorrow. I am not complaining one bit because after that we are in for a big warm up. Temps in the 50s by Thursday. After three weeks in the deep freeze it will be sheer bliss.

But it's the same weather as last year when I slipped and broke a rib so I'm not taking any chances. Studded boots will be the uniform of the day.....along with other freezing rain wardrobe appropriate clothing.

Roundup has turned out to be a carcinogen. It's safety was another corporate lie.

Puleeze...everyone knew that cigarette smoking was not safe, except our own govt., and the tobacco industry for many years. According to them, it was safe. It took forever for the surgeon general to be able to put a label warning about smoking being harmful to pregnant women.

Why would the govt. declare things like this safe? 2 reasons. 1. Approval, licensing, and govt. inspection for all these products generate a huge amount of income for the govt. 2. The govt. does not do it's own testing. It relies on the lab reports paid for by the company seeking approval. Even when they know the test results have been misrepresented, or skewed they have to rely on the reports provided for them.

This stuff is taking root like dandelions in the spring. Seriously. Turn on any TV station and they are spouting ads from some ambulance chasing attorney's business asking if you have taken whatever drug d'jour is being offered up and or used Roundup and suffered loss of life or limb (or in some instances hair) call their number or go to their web site now.

Late in the 70s I was working as an OB Nurse. The doctor/department head was sitting at the main desk chewing the fat with us and asked us if we had heard about the latest cancer scare going around. I can't remember what it was at the time but I can remember him shaking his head and saying cigarettes cause cancer, alcohol causes cancer, food causes cancer, water causes cancer. Next they are going to be telling us that human reproduction causes cancer and then we are all going to be out of business. Well guess what? HPV was discovered after that and how is HPV transmitted.....right.

Cancer has been around since man learned to walk upright and drag a club around. I'm not saying that exposure to chemicals and the way they are being infused into our food supply isn't carcinogenic in nature because it is. All I'm saying is that give it another 10 years and whatever they find to replace Roundup is going to be featured on a commercial saying "have you or a loved one been harmed by this chemical? Call us today Duey Cheatem and How Attorneys at Law!

Thank you Three Stooges, I couldn't resist~
