I got food poisoning at a Chic Fillet once. We went there with friends for dinner and I had a chicken wrap, lettuce, strip chicken wrapped in a flour tortilla. It was good but I barely made it back home and to the bathroom. I had all the symptoms of a mild food poisoning. It lasted for three days. When I looked the restaurant up on the internet, this particular Chic Fillet had reports of people getting sick after eating there. I avoid them like poison now.
Wow, sorry to hear that Micro. I actually really like Chic Fillet sandwiches. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had actually. I also like that the owners follow their convictions and beliefs and remain closed on Sundays. But I completely understand. I had the same thing happen at a Beni Hana's and will never eat at one again. On top of the sickness, the food was over priced, poor quality, and lacking in quantity.
I've heard/read that dogs are "arrested development" over wild canines like wolves. They are perpetual "puppies". While wild canines depend on parents to mature, once they are grown, as adults, they become hierarchical with alpha and beta animals and live in that structure. Puppies as they grow learn that they can always depend on their human to assist them when needed. In re: dogs. I used to breed and show Cockers. For the most part they were very enjoyable as puppies, and the adults didn't act like perpetual children. The most I had at one time was 14 adults and 13 puppies from several litters.
I saw intelligence tests between dogs and wolves where they had to work through "puzzles"/challenges to get to food. While the wolves got more and more stressed out and angry, the dogs quickly turned to their humans to help them solve the problem. IMHO that shows more intelligence than the wolves.
