Only thing killing folks up here are crazy snowmobilers. On track to set a new record for snowmobile related deaths this winter. (hitting trees, going thru the ice, running people over, etc.) "Hey bubba! Let's see if we can......." Should probably be the heading on most of the obituaries in the county newspaper.
Or "Hey Bubba! Hold my beer while I do...."

Last week I mentioned I had finished a top for a baby quilt that I just absolutely couldn't stand.

Sat down this weekend and finished it between dog walks and chores.

It looks a bit better with some quilting.

I'm still embarrassed to gift it. It only cost me time and batting and I think you can easily tell. Obviously the top is all scraps of fabric (I have realized I hate scrappy quilts) as is the binding. Dsqard lost a bet to me and had to buy my backing fabric. I realize the kid is just going to excrete on it, so I'm going to have to get over the fact that it's not a prize winner and just gift it. Lesson learned. Just say no to scrap.

suck it up and realize that you are a perfectionist and I find that scrappy quilt awesome!

You could just let the ginger tea settle out and then pour slowly into another cup.
When I make that powdered Chaga tea I put it in a big Stanley thermos add boiling water and let it set all day and then just pour slow leaving the bottom. Not sure if ginger would settle out the same though.
We have one of those reusable coffee filters, only use it when we run out, but it comes in handy. I have a stainless tea ball also I use for loose leaf tea, mint I pick around our pond. 3- $5 @ 20 bags or pick for free.

Same here, snowmobiles are big, and the one's everyone rides will do over 100mph..
DW's cousin out bar hopping with a group never made it to the next bar. When they found him he had hit a tree stump and broke the top of his leg bone right out through his pants. Then they went and got his dad to take him to the er cause they didn't want him to get a dwi. Said he climbed on the barn roof drunk to fix a sheet of flapping tin and fell. His dad said he wished they'd called a ambulance, his son was screaming so bad he said he threw up loading him in the truck. Spent a week in the hospital cause of a infection in the bone.
Lot of fatalities, barb wire fences at night, and yup, drowning on ponds. Every yr.

Yep, willing to bet alcohol is involved in most if not all of those.
