Nice moon pic. We couldn't see it here either even tho it was as bright as daylight on the new snow. Snow being the operative word here. That's why we couldn't see it, it was snowing. Just came in from doing my half of the snowthrowing, taking a break before going back out to clear roofs. I'm watching the Amtrak wreak of the train carrying most of the Republican Congress to a retreat. They hit a large truck at 70 mph. What a mess! It's amazing there was only one death and that was to one of the three people in the truck. Only reported serious injuries so far are one other in the truck and the train engineer. Lots of minor to moderate injuries.
i love the homemade potholders and dish towels and especially the scrubbers. Diva, you should come out of retirement!
So every day now that the dog is a bit older we've been doing a "walk" - only about 15 minutes and just down the driveway, to the "main" road, back to the end of the dead end then back to the house. Been doing this walk for weeks. Today dog goes a little bit nuts on a snowbank that she's been past every single day (sometimes multiple times a day!) for weeks. She's obsessed with woody material (sticks, bark, leaves, dried grass) and it was near a tree that had fallen in the windstorm and had been chopped up and so I thought it was a nub of a tree. It was kinda frozen to the top of the snowbank, and she was really trying hard to free it but couldn't, and so I did it for her. Turns out it was a femur - near the knee - sawed off. Mind you on the earlier part of our walk she found a piece of bark and carried it proudly quite some distance. Oh she brought the femur home. BF confiscated it once he realized what it was. Last week she was let out to pee and brought home a rib.
When we first decided we were going to get a bloodhound I joked about finding the little girl that's been missing for years up here. Now...

The previous owner lost so much of his livestock to medical neglect that the dogs are still dragging home bones that they find in the ravines. I don't mind as long as they are human in nature.

My dd#1 was in a bad car wreck Sunday. She refused medical attention. But went back to the hospital last night. They said she has a broke neck. She is waiting no the surgeon to come back and tell her what they can do for her. I'm so nervous.
I asked dd#3 to come get me so I can be with her. But she said it would have to be tomorrow.
Oh man, I sure hope her delay in getting treatment doesn't cause any "extra" problems and she gets back to full health.I had an uncle that was working on a car when it fell on his shoulder. He waited more than a month to go in for it. They had to re break his shoulder because it has already healed in the wrong positionThank everyone. I also hope and pray there is nothing that can't be fixed from her waiting so long to go.
Her dh did the same dang thing when he was hit in the rear by a truck driver
He finally went to the hospital 2 months later. Can you imagine? He's had two surgeries to repair and rebuild his neck and shoulder.
When we had that bad wreck i went to the hospital right away. I knew my chest pain wasn't normal. Took forever for them to get around to me. They took xrays and found nothing. But i had 3 busted ribs when i went to the Drs office! We were lucky we weren't killed, the guy going the other direction fell asleep! 55 mph, would have been head on if hubby hadn't swerved! Car was totalled. Hubby had busted ribs too but refused to be seen at hospital.Thank everyone. I also hope and pray there is nothing that can't be fixed from her waiting so long to go.
