Baked a 18 week 5.5lb JG cockerel for lunch today before work. Tender and plenty of meat. Keep telling people, yeah giants take a long time to grow, year plus to reach full potential of 13+lbs live weight but still comparable to any other heritage bird processed young.

It has been described as the "perfect" virus...meaning that it is very infectious..It is scary! Thanks guys. I was doing good until I let my guard down with the hand sanitizer and forgot to use it after exiting a store. Scratched my nose and did a mental, oh crap, forgot my sanitizer ritual. Sure enough, 48 hours later I'm sick. My own fault.
No, Ron, not familiar with epicor. I use astragalus tincture though. Need to get back on it.
I've been reading some really scary stuff about Norovirus and the way it spreads and how long it can continue to spread even after you start to feel better.
Got a olive egg today, so one of the oldest hens still laying. Only have two of that group left a EE and a polish so no chance of hatching wrong eggs.
Maybe the polish will lay some white eggs, I'd probably set them just to see if I get naked poofy heads lol.
My DD that lives in Finland uses grips that go over her boots. She fell in the Ice last year and hurt her knee. It gets very Icy in Finland.
You can see some of it in this picture of my Grand Daughter on her second Birthday last month

So @ronott1, how in the world did you get so lucky!? You have a beautiful family.
I think I'm going to live after four + days of wondering. I get worried when I get noroviruses. I've wound up in the hospital twice due to dehydration and I tend to dehydrate very quickly.
So I gave up on food for two days and concentrated on keeping fluids going in. Anything to keep me out of the ER and it seems to have worked.
Next season, I'm stocking up on blackberry leaves when the new leaves come out and keeping them on hand for tea. Also need to restock on electrolyte replacement drinks.
Anyway, broody is still hanging in there. She was off the nest this morning when I fed and watered but was back on by the time I was finished. Tonight she gets her real eggs.
Weather is crappy. That pretty much describes it here. Everything yesterday this time was flooded. Today everything that was flooded is frozen. Temps in the mid 20s with more frozen nastiness coming in tonight with a winter weather advisory to go along with it.
I am SO ready for spring.

My understanding is that behavior (or behaviour for our more "British" friends) is normal for broodies early on but they clamp down on the nest the last few days.Anyway, broody is still hanging in there. There are ways RonWe did not get the Tall Genes though...
Looks like someone is practicing for @Farmer Connie's next cooking contest.Baked a 18 week 5.5lb dressed, JG cockerel for lunch today before work.
