The Old Folks Home

You did notice the blood streak on that egg, didn't you, Pen?:eek:Owie! BIG owie!

Our mailman is a bit of a doof but we have never gotten a package delivered in that shape.

Starke Bro nursery doesn't even make you return a failed tree. Just call em and they send you a new one. Easy Peasy.

I could have taken the box and sent the grower a pic and got a replacement. But to me it's the principal of the thing. I want the post office to have to return it and hopefully stop that crud. I paid 20.00 for priority shipping and got it in that condition. That's just WRONG!
I may ask the grower to ship it with FedEx or another carrier and pay the difference in the shipping.

After all I went through buy the Marans eggs to hatch 3 where broke beyond

I hope the rest of the eggs do not have little cracks in them!

My DD that lives in Finland uses grips that go over her boots. She fell in the Ice last year and hurt her knee. It gets very Icy in Finland.

You can see some of it in this picture of my Grand Daughter on her second Birthday last month

Baked a 18 week 5.5lb dressed, JG cockerel for lunch today before work. Tender and plenty of meat. Keep telling people, yeah giants take a long time to grow, year plus to reach full potential of 13+lbs live weight but still comparable to any other heritage bird processed young.
