The Old Folks Home

Hi everyone.
Cute pup.
Last month dh had listenen to the guys at work talk about the walking dead show every day for ever. So he ran across the show running a marathon on a Sunday. So he wanted to see what all the guys were taking about. So he sat there watched it all day. I was busy doing chores the first two weeks. Then the third Sunday I watched it with him. Bad move. Then he recorded every Sunday marathon since. And watched it every evening to get caught up for the new season. So we have been lost in zombie land!
I can't stand all the gross scene's so I go out of the room or turn away through the gross part's. Now the new season has started and I've realized I can't stand the show. But dh has decided there's nothing else to watch.
The TV in the den is so old the picture is hard to see. I may have to buy another one to get away from these zombies!

Chicka, i watched The Walking Dead from the first episode when it started running. I really enjoyed it despite gory scenes. I like the interaction of the characters. But it seems to me they get too preoccupied with the killing and forget about the survival aspects. So i gave up watching it. It was one of the few shows i used to watch.

That is kind of how I feel about it.

Yeah, ya see one Zombie get axed in the head you've seen them all and it starts to get a bit old real fast. I watched it for a couple of seasons but stopped last year. I agree with you both chicka and cap.

Morning all. Venturing the mud in order to get to town. Should be an adventure. Lots to do today so y'all have a good one and I 'see' ya later today.

Morning everyone!
Too far behind again so I just hope you all had a good weekend.

@perchie.girl - forgot to warn you about some of the crazy side effects of the Gaba, oops. Should have elaborated a bit about it messing with your brain chemistry. (that's why I refuse to increase my dosage, at least for now) Anyway, the big one for me is if I forget a dose (or go too long inbetween) I have crazy mood swings like I'm going thru menopause all over. Poor DH until I figured out what was going on! It's like having mental hot flashes! :lau
Never had the nightmare thing but then I almost never have bad dreams. One chemo drug I was on was known to cause very vivid bright colored dreams. I was the only one I knew that actually missed them  . When I first started the Gaba I was having really odd dreams but then I tend to be odd anyway so I didn't really notice the difference at first. :p

I think dad had about five guardian angels and they all were thrill seekers in their past lives...:gig

Dads true love was Airplanes.... and he was always betting a case of beer that he could do things.... Like inside loops around telephone wires.... He messed up on that one hooked a wire and pulled about a thousand feet off the telephone poles. then flying out into the desert to some place remote so he could land and remove the wire....
To keep from getting in trouble....

Or betting someone that he could land in front of the hanger with a plane that had no air breaks. And it Wasnt his plane....:lau How he did it...? he flew with a buddy named Dick Sweet... HE told Dick that when gave him the signal to kick open the passenger door and keep it open. It worked....

Or showing a friend about some stunt flying.... A Lomshevock is a maneuver where you go Balls to the wall straight up and at the top you flip the stick over and the airplane tumbles a couple of times before you straighten out and pull up.... When dad did this he blacked out for a moment.... and pulled it out just before they hit the ground... there was puke all over the windshield. Two seater passenger sits in front....

I have seen a picture of that plane it was a bi plane..... after he crashed it. He walked away but the plane didnt.

My Sixth Grade Teachers Husband was not so lucky. He was a crop duster and hit power lines...She was a widow after that!

It's so peaceful here at home now. All the grandkids left. They hadn't been gone an hour, when Dh and I hit the bed for a nap. Whew, they sure can wear us out! I've got quite a bit of cleaning to do, and grocery shopping tomorrow.

My chickens got wormed, dusted, the hay removed from the coops (except for in the nest boxes), and everything got raked. Tuesday I want to clean all the roosts, nest boxes, feed and water buckets, and spray everything down. Rinse, repeat in 10 days. All my hens are laying again.
The calm after the Storm!

Family can be exhausting for sure.

Good job on the worming and etc. You must be getting for breeding season?
