The Old Folks Home

Ron my dh would kill me if I posted pics of before. It's falling apart I'll tell you that much and and the floor is falling through.
Then I can't wait to see the After Pictures!

:wee

Kids sure do love those big boxes. Probably make good Christmas presents lol. I've been in trouble more than once for their fort or house etc in the living room, I help them make windows and a door, they decorate, them fighting over it, DW can only take so much, get that darn thing out of here!
Lol.

Ok I took 2 pics that dh approved of for posting. lol If you only knew! hhahaaa
This will give you some idea.

Thanks for the pictures!
Hahaha your welcome. By the way that is the only section of the floor that still has connecting tiles. haaa But soon it will have a very pretty oak floor and oak cabinet.
With a stainless sink. We will paint since we will have the kitchen empty of all the appliances! Yahoo!

@chickadoodles, don't let them destroy the old cabinets! Those are great for garage or 'chicken coop' use.

So excited for you! What type of wood did you go with for your new cabinets?

This cabinet was built when the house was. I am going to BURN it! I never want to see it again! My DD32 said she wanted the sink. hahha if she wants it she can have it.

Anyone have fun weekend plans?
Town meeting is tomorrow starting at 10 AM. Besides the planned content, I'm hoping the Girl Scouts are selling cookies. They were there last year.

Need to work out my strawberry plants for spring. May be a challenge but hopefully doable.

Place was a little out of our way, but we'll probably stop there some more, I like helping out the independent businesses. And they had good prices on what I did look at, friendly people also, gave me their business card and said if there was anything I didn't see that I thought they should get/carry to let them know.
Those are the best kind of stores!!

We picked out new kitchen flooring, cabinets and a new sink today. Still need to go back tomorrow and add a few things for delivery on Monday.
Need to pick out paint still.
This old farm kitchen is finally getting a face lift. :wee

Post before and after pictures!

That is the BEST reason to post BEFORE and AFTER pictures. Much as you hate looking at it now, you'll soon forget once the new stuff is in. Nice to look back now and then.
Re the kitchen sink, you'll need to post a picture of it looking down before I can pass judgement. One of the few good things that came with this house is the 1942 porcelain on cast iron sink! The 1931 Glenwood DeLuxe stove is another.

My DW can walk past, around and over cr@p for years and never notice it. You are lucky!
