On my end: things are hectic. School is crazy and I am FINALLY GETTING DUCK EGGS EVERY MORNING!!! Missing my mom still but I know and feel her presence with me. Only time will heal the heart and then when I am healed there will still be a scar to remind me of her. I will have to check up with ya'll a little later when there is more time

I've know Latte for about 5 years. She spent a couple of years as a lesson pony before being sidelined by EPM and then a vague, persistent hind-end lameness. She's about 8 -9 years old. Knowing her history as well as I did, I was pretty sure that if I could get us both sound enough for riding, she'd be a reasonably safe mount for an old lady like me. I've been doing a little lunge line work with her for the last few weeks to get her into a "listening" frame of mind, but I was still a bit surprised at how well she's listening.

This sounds alot more reasonable to me! I was having a bit of trouble thinking about getting on a unriden horse at my age. Glad to hear that she 'listened' so well!!
