I like Hellmans' also but can never find it in the low fat variety so I am stuck with Miracle Whip.

My mom used to make Johnny Cakes to go along with Ham and Beans. I think DH and I prefer Johnny Cakes to plain corn bread. If she had left over corn, she would mix it with the Johnny Cake batter.

I would sprinkle maple syrup over them or honey and eat them with my beans.

Yep, I'm always relieved when the first external pip happens. Now they are resting and it's all I can do to rap on the side of the incubator and yell WAKE UP! at them. I have my incubator in the kitchen and I'm spending the day out there so I can keep an eye on them.

I'm running out of things to clean so they had better hurry up and bust out!

If you run out of stuff to clean, you can always come to my house....can hardly wait to see pictures of those chicks.

Yeah, I started cleaning the refrigerator I was so desperate to keep busy and stay near the incubator, LOL. If I hadn't cleaned the cupboards last month I would have done those also.

I'm starting to see a little progress on a couple of the pips. DH looked at them after dinner and said 'the little-you know whats- are going to pop out screaming in the middle of the night, aren't they?' I replied 'yep'.Which means I'll have to pen the cats up upstairs for the night which will p them off royally.

I see a long sleepless night ahead of us.

What I like I have the incubators in my sewing room no cat room ... built fort knox to house the silkies so chicks safe there also

I managed to get three of the cats rounded up and put upstairs leaving just the psycho calico (who got that crazed 'I must flee' look in her eyes when I started to pet her) and went into hiding....may not see her till next Thanksgiving.....and the old diabetic Siamese mix who has myelopathy and can't jump so I'm hoping I can clamp the milk crate over the incubator and bungee it down. Two more are starting to show interest in enlarging their pips so hopefully they will all be out by morning.
