The Old Folks Home

That was never figured out!

I happened twice while I was growing up. When I was 3 and 9. Both times it was the middle of the night in the Fall.

My guess is that it was some kind of bug or something.
That is scary! Do you carry an epipen?

I'm with you, @superchemicalgirl and @perchie.girl. Worked too many years in a hospital to be comfortable in them, especially after spending a month in one when I had Rheumatic Fever. I'm that way with family doctors also. Had a doc ask me once why my blood pressure was up so high when I came in for my annual. I was a nurse. I told him that was why. I KNEW the evil painful things he could do to me!

I have white coat disease big time... to the point they looked at my blood pressure and said Why dont you sit a while and we will test you again.... Higher.... and we will test you again..... HIGER... I began having a panic attack. JUst let me go hom.e

I should!

It was very scary but a long time ago. It is amazing how quickly the shot worked to stop the reaction

That happened at my last Dentist appointment. I did not let them take another BP test though.

Dentist was quite insistent that I get to a Dr. Soon. I told them that it is not high at home.

I just love spell check/fix mess ups. Aah technology :lau

If you haven't, you should turn on Closed Captioning on some YouTube videos. It is hilarious though often there are words that shouldn't be used in places like this forum. And of course what was ACTUALLY said wasn't even close to what was captioned.

MIL is a white coat hypertension person. Bizarre the medical industry doesn't get that. And I know I've said it before but WHY are they doing BP checks at the dentist?? Never had it done when I was getting my teeth cleaned.

I run subtitles on netflix. They often do not say what is written!

I know!

Since it is pointless and they use a wrist BP machine--not very accurate at all
