Good night and sweet dreams everyone :hugs

Night Misty.

Bantams that lay dark eggs. Hmmmm. My bantam stock is from a black OEGB crossed with only God knows what. I suspect there is some Cochin in them mainly because the owner of the breeding stock had a buff Cochin bantam rooster along with this OEGB boy. I have two roosters that definitely look the part, squatter stature than an OEGB and fuller hackle feathers not to mention feather stubbling on the legs. There is a different line in there though. The roosters are shining blue black with fawn colored hackle and saddle feathers. Very pretty boys, very big combs. The pullets are almost like a spangled only instead of black and white they are black and brown. I have no idea what those birds have been crossed with but Indy has the biggest comb of any of my bantams. So large it falls over at a 45 degree angle.

Those dark hens lay a darker egg. Brown but not too brown. Slightly browner than a Buff O egg. I'm still trying to figure out what was crossed with him to get the color and comb that he and the girls have (girls have regular sized combs) but the do not lay the standard white bantam egg.

Many, many years ago, when the world and I were young, some friends and I had lunch in a restaurant in Rockefeller Center in New York City. This was the first time some of my friends had been out of North Carolina, and judging by her accent, the waitress was a native that hadn't strayed far from her birthplace much, either. We were all speaking 'Murcan' English, but I wound up having to translate - both ways!

Upstate NY'rs do not have the 'NY' accent, we laugh at it also.
First time we drove to Florida on vacation, stopped at a little gas station I think it was in Georgia, really old guy held the door open for us, took one of our little girls in to use the bathroom, he had quite the conversation with her about 'southern hospitality' I felt like telling him, yo dude, we hold doors open for people up north also lol, but he was a nice old guy, heavy southern accent. When we got back to the car little dd says 'he talked funny'... I told her he probably thought you talked funny, she says 'no I talk English' :gig

Oh crabapples, power is out! 2 bators and 17 baby quail need heat. Come back on power! Not even a storm out there, what is up with that?!
car crash?

I have to run subtitles when I can because I can't hear very well.

Sucks to watch something that doesn't have subtitles, I have to pause, rewind, pause, rewind then ask BF what they're saying.
I am the same way, don't like to miss nothing, so I don't watch TV until I'm the only one watching, can't hear it anyway. Used to love watching movies on our laptop, sit right next to it so can hear it, large screen, took a crap now we have this chromebook thing works great but kinda small. Turn the volume up on the tv, I get screamed at..., heat to upstairs is a open register in the floor/ceiling above the living room to dw's bedroom, lol.
Only movie I could watch, subtitled, was Apocalypto. I would watch it again right now if I could find it on.
