The Old Folks Home

Thank you

cannot justify the cost in my mind heating pad was 30.00 to get one large enough and no timer but is a sunbeam will bring it in see may return it if faulty

The heating pads have builtin turn off. It is a safety thing. Try a grow mat. They dont shut off.

Sorry you lost the 5 fluffies.

SCG you sound like an experienced dog person. Pretending to cry or howl, always brings the dogs in. Or I used to turn my back and utter "Where's Blackie," a few times. And look around. Didn't have a Blackie but you get the idea. Pretty soon I'd get a dog nose at my back and then some claws. It always worked and they kinda gave a sigh like "My owner is totally dumb." Ha ha.

Oh I found her. As soon as she realized she was free she did this crazy flying circle thing. I realized I was about to lose her, so I sat down on a log, back to her and pretended to cry. Right into my lap.
It's like feeding Sacch. Alba to a 2 year old baby. (I'm deciphering more Rx to provide as "questions" to the staff for them to decipher)

ahhhhhhh

Here ALL scripts are printed....by machine!!! The theory is to decrease wrong meds.

I have often asked to have written info read to me so I know what the orders are.....oh, they'll know is the answer. THat gets an F from me. lol Tooooo many meds have similar names and doses are too easy to get wrong. A friend got very high pred for too long....the dose was wrong.

Keep up the good training. the more eyes that can read scribble the better!!! Maybe you should hire my brother to make samples...a pharmacists with hen scratching, lol

I pretend to find somthing "good" on the ground, and dig at it......they just gotta know what it is....

ron, I want to thank you for suggesting I go full convection when cooking meats. I did a turkey breast the other night. Everyone was amazed. I did a ham tonight. I will never go back to conventional baking again. Convection cooking of meats is the only way to go.
It is amazing how well convection works!

Now your family will think your are a culinary Genius

nope y'all did good sacch alba is white sugar... it's a 2 year old baby so it's hiding the medicine in sweet sugar.
Now what's the medicine for that sweet baby?
chloride? chloroform?

My Simulation went well today....
While I was in the docs office today having the IV specialist "find" a vein a technision came in holding a sports bottle full with a straw... I siad Whats this? She said Contrast you need to drink at least half but all would be nice. Ok I said and sipped... drank down the half in one go.... The nurse putting in the IV said you dont have to drink it all at once... Ok I put it down... but then picked it up and drank the rest....

Tasted like water sorta.... and Iodine sorta... and kind of sweet ... sorta... the nurse said most people hate it. I said it had no taste.... Had no color either looked like water.

Once the IV was in the nurse saie the technision will be back. I waited.... and Waited .... and waited... started rocking my scooter back and forth to keep my legs from going to sleep... and waited. Yep a whole hour.

Then the knock came and I asked if I could go to the bathroom. 'Oh no we want that in there for imaging" OK.... It wasnt terribly urgent... but my first inkling is usually the precursor of I aint going to make it to the bathroom... LOL.

I had to strip... Robe didnt fit they came in and she said... it goes on backwards. Cant lay on it for imaging... 'nice if someone had told me' they all left while I swapped sides. They got me positioned on the table Then came the Insertion of a Tampon-like Sensor and something else.... I hate those surprises. They put targets all over me and positioned me according to some Lazar pointers. Then the IV got used with Iodine.... And Everything got warm including the ""targets"".... And they took the scan.

Wehn we were done with that I got to go pee.... and made it to the Bathroom.

Back to the CT scanner and repositioning for the targets to be certain.... and I got my tattoos. All done

No upset stomachs no need for another run to the bathroom. Yay.

Next appointment is next week on the 18th for my first radiation treatment.

Came home with instructions No alcahol No Caffiene Drink pleanty of water and Juices ... to flush the contrast out.

So.... it Begins.
