Vet told us to always keep Pepto Bismol on hand to use whenever the dogs get a case of diarrhea. He said it would both control the runs and the acetylsalicylic acid it contains helps sedate the animal so they rest.

They can also take Immodium.

I prefer the immodium as pepto can turn your or your pets tongue black!

Our dogs hated the taste of Pepto Bismol, they would shake their heads and send pink all over. So we just used Kaopectate - it worked.
