The Old Folks Home

I'm always removing ticks-- the bane of playing outdoors!! lol

In the process of keeping out the coyote I thinkthe electric fence will keep the deer out as well. ANd perhaps the ducks and chickens will get the tick poplution down a bit more.

I'm sorry to hear that you are sick. My mother had Lyme's a couple of years ago - and she almost never gets ticks! Our place is like "Biters Are Us."

Unless your fence is in the neighborhood of 8 feet high, I wouldn't count on it keeping deer out. I've watched them bounce over the 5' fence of our pasture like it was a clump of grass (and yes, the top wire is electric).

Wisher I concur - getting the flu (as a kid) was a vacation - no school!! - Chicken soup, jello - tv , laying around in pj's- my mom waiting on me hand and foot - what's not to like? Fast forward,

adulthood no one waiting on me but the flu usually knocked off a few lbs sigh. Oldhood - get the flu shot every year since I am a "senior" and seniors are allegedly high risk or something. No fun.

Love, love, LOVE that gazebo! I want to add a gazebo to the patio behind our home. Your's is beautiful!

It's a metal gazebo from walmart. The canvas roof tore off the first year I had it during a storm. It's almost completely covered with carolina jessamine. By next year the jessamine will have fully covered the top. I have a clematis growing in another corner and tomatoes in the remaining two, though the tomatoes are about done for the year.

I picture growing grapes up my gazebo. Thanks for sharing your source. I don't want a canvas top, but if the structure under the canvas would handle heavy grape vines, I may have found my solution. Thank you!
