The Old Folks Home

Thank you, my friends. It's just so hard to deal with when they are new born. I don't think I'll ever get used to it and hope I never do.
We can just do our best and keep our fingers crossed. Hugs. I noticed i have a keet with curled toes, but too late to do anything with it. One of the ones i plan to keep. And a baby quail with a foot it walks on the side of. What the heck?!

Found behind early 1800s marker.

Friend thinks it is crackle glass but the crackle seems to be on the outer part not inner .so I don't know

Could not be from the old grave but it was down pretty far .

Its not crackle glass its imprinted or pressed with the pattern. Id look up Carnival Glass and go from there. sounds cheep and it was in the day but these days its worth alot in decent condition.

this is close to the pattern but you see what I mean

Looks like a vase for certain with a short stem and base. Id guess it was about eight inches tall and you can measure the diameter from the rim.

this is only a sample

My Cousin Margret... Muggsy to the family. was an Antique dealer. Her major expertiese was with Glass but she dealt in furniture and guns as well. How she met her second husband when she was in her seventies. He was an Antique dealer in rifles. They met at the Antique show in Las Vegas.

She would come to Vegas with her Station wagon packed to the brim with boxes. Shed park it out front and stay at our house. Show would be over shed pack up and stay another nite to visit. This was in 1965. The next morning she said, "Glad to be going home that Station wagon is packed with a quarter Million worth of glass" Mom almost fainted on the spot.

Grandma thought she was a junk collector....

A friend of mine had quite a collection of carnival glass, and depression ware. A couple years before she died, she began giving me some her collection. She overheard Dh mention to me that he didn't think it was real. He thought it was just junk. She never said a word, but a couple days later, she came over with some papers. She had insured her glassware for years, and she had to pay extra for the policy. Each piece had a picture, a description, and a current appraisal value. He almost fainted when he saw what it was worth.

I'd gladly swap a little heat from here for a little cool from there Penny. 1am and the outside temp is 76° with ~80% humidity. Daytime temps have been running low to mid 90s. I try to not let it stop me from using the jacuzzi every night. Just finished a short time ago then cooked up a fried egg (in bacon grease) and cheese sandwich to carry me through till tomorrow. Wish I'd had some bacon thawed out to cook and put on it.

Sorry about the lousy hatch(es)/lost chicks. Hope those who are hurting can/will heal up quickly and well. Very nice work you're doing there SCG. Thanks for sharing the pics. Hope you had a great night's sleep everyone as I'll be headed that way shortly.
