The Old Folks Home

When we moved to Puerto Rico, the man and woman we rented our second house from were a bit older. I was about 13 at the time. They were dressed very nice when they came to show us the house. The lady had long, jet black, thick, Latina hair. She had a skirt on, and stockings. I noticed the hair on her legs through the stockings, since it was black. I knew she had never shaved them in her life. Not as bad as a man's hairy legs, but yes very hairy. My brain was having difficulty digesting this information, when all of a sudden she lifted her arm some to get something out of her purse. I about fainted. She had never shaved under her pits. Long black pit hair was sticking out from her sleeveless blouse. My poor brain fogged up, and my jaw dropped. I turned my head, so she wouldn't notice my reaction, but I had to walk away. I just couldn't handle it. Oh, and she waved goodbye to us when we left. Yes, we rented the home from them. We didn't see her very often, but once in awhile she would come with her husband to inspect something on the house to have it repaired, or updated. I NEVER got used to her armpit hairs.

FYI, the shaving to make yur beard grow, IMHO doesn't work. I think it's genetics. My dad can grow a beard easy, my younger brother can, my youngest brother who's in his mid 20's and tries to grow a goatee, dad says he could put some milk on it and a cat could lick it off lol.
I have a mustache and beard usually cause I'm lazy and don't like to shave and dw and the kids say I look weird when I do, if I say I can't grow one, guys at work say dang but you have one. Yeah but I haven't shaved in six months. Most beard growers can have what I have in about a week or two. ..
DW and I would like to do that DNA ancestry stuff sometime. I keep telling her let's do it! I ain't afraid of my dna being out there. Her's is most likely German and Irish beings her grandmother and grandfather came from there and her cousin had it done and that was the results anyway. But her mom's side is just like both of my family's sides and been here since the 1600's. Could be about anything.
Have always heard both sides of my family have Native American ancestry same with DW's moms side. She's went through ancestry.com on her mom's side and there is one woman relative that is named only as a first name, so most likely a slave wife or a Indian wife. And she has relatives that can and cannot grow a beard, one brother that had a lumberjack beard the other a cat could lick off the scruff.
Be interesting to see what our DNA tells. Her mom's and both sides of my family was here while this area was frontier at the before/beginning of European 'invasion' wouldn't surprise me at all if there is native American or maybe even African also somewhere in our heritage. My dad's family came here from Holland twenty yrs after the pilgrims landed and I have a Dutch last name, but after that many generations since wouldn't be surprised if I find out 2% Dutch and 98% everything else lol.

I read an article that said often when you hear about a relative that was native american, the ancestor was actually African American.
