Cap, I am taking your freezer issues very hard. I would love nothing more to help you put your ice cream in a safe place (my stomach) I just want to :hit at the missed
opportunity. At the moment(as usual) I am out of ice cream.

What flavors do you have???
Somehow Diva, I knew you would say that.

I have two gallons of vanilla in the freezer right now. Made the run to the store today. We haven't drank pop in this house for over a year. I got home, plopped two 2L bottles of Diet Rite on the counter, looked at DH and said tomorrow is my 65th birthday. Don't say a word. Bless him, he just got out two glasses and filled them with ice and topped them off with pop.....God I've missed that familiar fizz.

So I have 24 hours tomorrow all my own. All the house work is done...well, almost but the rest can wait till Thursday. Last of the wood is piled in the barn waiting to be split. Sprayed the weeds in the driveway and did some mowing. Clipped the grass around the hot wire that's around the run. Did a load of laundry.

Sounds like I hit all the high marks. DH has promised to treat me to a husband cooked dinner tomorrow night. Much better than eating out. Grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob and birthday cake/ice cream.

Why do we only get one birthday a year?

LOL>.. welcome Pepper.... I live in the other end of the state... San Diego. Been here more than fifty years now. We were originally from the Berdu area... I was born in Colton. We moved around the desert states... New mexico Nevada and finally here.

Dad was the farm boy.... His dad was a sharecropper.... worked his way from Florida to the San Bernardino area.... Farming everything from Cotton to pigs.... But his talent was in setting up berry farms...

So My family on dads side KNew how hard it was to pick cotton.... The field hands were migrant workers... from all over the US. Following harvests... When Dad was a baby his sisters baby sat him while they picked cotton. Setting him with his bottle on the long cotton bag as they dragged it behind themselves through the field.

My place is in the high desert in san Diego County... Love it there...

Dad was born to a family of farmers, Mom came to California in the sidecar of a motorcycle with Mom and Dad from Nebraska. Dad grew food, Mom's family were dairy farmers. County is in my blood I guess. I couldn't wait to retire and have my chickens!

Hot here also, 95+ for a few weeks now, loving it! Hoping to forget about that four letter word that is puffy frozen precipitation and forget about the subzero months, bring on the heat :celebrate
Today was 105 degrees. I refuse to live where it snows, so we do not get snow. We just have to drive 5 miles up the road to get to snow in the winter! It's a little too hot for my taste, but you enjoy!!:hugs

Yep... In my case I wanted my horse home with me... Bought a place in the desert and added chickens... and goats... and one doggie... RIP Rosie... and too many cats.
The money I saved in horse board I spent on feeding all the rest...

Wild life got everything but the horse... Sigh... and now shes at a retirement home with a twelve year old doting on her. I am taking care of my grandma for now... But hope to go back one day. Place is paid for.

Nice looking corn dogs Penny! BF is a "Chicken cheater", poor birds, they would have scarfed that down.

Why do we only get one birthday a year?
Because if you had 4 a year you would be dead at 20, maybe 25!!

If I don't remember tomorrow, HAPPY 65th Micro!

But hope to go back one day. Place is paid for.
And you'll be in great shape when you do!
