I started mine at 62. I looked ahead at the amount that I would get and it wasn't all that much more. Somebody told us that you are better off starting at 62 because you stand the chance of never getting back what you pay in.

I HATE the term elderly. But man I love my senior citizen's discount at the grocery store.

Most people take Social Security at 62. It makes very good sense.

I've been staying in a trailer next to the house. If my mom needed anything she'd always call me. I woke up six times last night to check my phone......

We were able to finally get the new deck door hung and start work on the deck itself. The original builder had used ungalvanized nails and they are rusting off and working their way out of the wood. We are pulling them and replacing them with galvy screws

I'd go straight to stainless.

I know! I was shocked to see 65 listed as Elderly! I have to wait until age 67 to get full Social Security Retirement!

Dw's definition of old age is: divide your expected lifespan by 3. Young, middle age, old age. For most people that means they are middle age by the time they are 30 and old at 60 if not sooner

My mother is an 80-something. SHe is in great shape and very able. We discussed living another 20 years..... she needs to get 10 more under her belt to beat her dad..... 20 to beat her aunt...... She is the image of a rolling stone, always busy busy busy....
