Ron how did you get the seeds out?
I watched a video on YouTube that showed adding a bit of water and heating them a bit on the stove and mashing them with a potato masher. Then strain through cheese cloth.
I used a food mill with the fine screen. It worked great! The other way is to mash them and drain in a cheese cloth bag. That takes a couple of hours or so though. I am not that patient!

Ron I know a woman that taught school in 2 states and retired from both. She's drawing a pension from both states plus her social security. And she retired at 67.
In California Teachers do not get Social Security. You can get it if you worked some where else and have enough quarters. You would not get much though since the teaching wages would not count. If I died my DW would get survivor benefits from both my pension and social security though.

kitchen toy's are fun
I have this one:

$37 from Amazon as a refurbished. It was actually brand new in the box so likely a return.

A shop vac or wet dry vac is good to have. You can use it in wet mode to clean carpets!

It is also nice to have a regular vacuum with a heppa filter though.
I have been pondering the benefit of the Heppa filters. GIven my dogs are always dragging in from the outside, and windows open....

Maybe good for a closed off room??

Some vacuum cleaners have an allergen or heppa filter built into them. Shop vacs do not do a good job of catching all of the dust so they can cause problems to those with sensitive lungs.

A heppa filter system would be good in the winter when doors are shut up

When I worked as a lowly sub for $50 a day, the teachers union took money from me. Never to be seen again. FOrced to pay into the system. Subs were required to have a college education.... but paid dirt. Usually filled in for the second "teacher" in the room for the little ones. NOT WORTH THE PAY. On call, inconsistent scedule and days. Better to work at Walmart.

Did wonder if there is a way to put a heppa filter on those shop vacs. THey just seem much tougher than the crap made today and called a vaccuum.
