I hear it gets better.

Just keep breathing... good place to start. :D

Been there, done that - it does, but not quickly. They only give you one set of parents, and the loss never goes completely away.

Foot pain gone thanks to the miracle of modern drugs.:D Plus, I kicked my shoes off the minute I got in the house this morning from tending the birds and have gone barefoot all day which helps. Just don't tell my podiatrist.

This afternoon DH and I got a new storm door up on our back deck. We still have the door handle to set but it is up and operational. One of our dogs knows how to hit the door just right to pop it open when she wants in. It would be really funny if we didn't stand the chance of the cats all getting out.

Had a long talk with one of my cousins. She's 10 years older than I am and was just diagnosed with lung cancer. They think they got it early and will get rid of it with radiation. It's always good to talk with her. She saved my life more than once when I was dealing with my mom's violent outbursts with her dementia. Without my cousin there to sweet talk her down from her insanity and into the hospital I don't know what would have happened to me. I don't have any doubt that I would have wound up seriously injured or worse so I feel a special closeness with this cousin. Thank goodness she's a tough old bird. I always said if you have to wade into battle have a pit bull at your side and not a chihuahua. Plus she comes from a big family so it's always an hour of catching up on who is doing what to whom.
I go barefoot often. Not a good thing when you have plantar fascitis. But, a good feeling when you have peripheral nephropathy. Ennie, meenie, minnie, moe. :D

And handy dandy tins too.
Yep, that's what I use to put parts in, bolts/screws, etc...and for feeding my pheasants. The bad side of that was I had both my hands full of the cans, (I carry 3 in each hand from the main feed 60 gal can) when I fell and had no way to brace my fall with my hands. :barnie

That sounds terrible!

Can you come up with a different system for feeding them?
