Nope, nope. You didn't take me up on my generous offer to relieve you of yours so now you are stuck with itWhich model do you have?
How is the tractor set up for pulling? I'm going to order a logging chain and a tow strap (for extra length away from the log), not sure how I'll be attaching to the tractor though. There is a really big ring on the forks, that might be the best place. Can't really attach it to the backhoe I don't think.
That would take a level of skill I won't likely have for quite a long time! So far I've only flattened out a dirt mound that had 2' tall grass and the associated mass of roots. Those huge balls of weeds don't really want to get picked up, I ended up pushing them with the bucket tilted down. The most impressive thing our tractor handled was a 750 pound wood stove that we scooped up with the bucket and deposited on a pick up truck bed.
Hugs. I am so pleased with my Tolbunt Polish. Can hardly wait to get the coop built!Nope no logging wench. We cut the logs into 10 foot lengths, attach log chains and chugga chugga. We can usually move two foot thick logs 18+ feet without difficulty. Definitely the little tractor that could.
We then chain the logs into 16-18 inch rounds, load them into the bucket and transport to the splitter.
So what kind of tractor did you wind up getting. You DID get 4 wheel drive I hope.
@CapricornFarm. Yeah, I was ready for some good news. I'm probably going to loose my little hen that I wrote about yesterday. Not sure what's going on with her. I poked and prodded around on her tonight and felt a marble sized lump between her pubic bone and keel bone. So @ronott1, your prediction of reproductive cancer is probably right on. I noticed tonight that she hadn't eaten so she is definitely under the microscope at the moment. If she isn't eating by tomorrow I will probably euthanize. I noticed tonight that she feels a bit thin.
So yeah, getting word of the little Fayoumi hen being available is a ray of sunshine.
