Anyone know what's more fun than pounding T-posts into ground the consistency of concrete in 96° weather? Let me tell you! It's trying to pull T-posts OUT of ground the consistency of concrete in 96° weather! :barnie My hands (& back) are paying for it today... So I sit here typing (and even that hurts) while eating watermelon. At least that last part feels (& tastes) pretty good.

I had taken out and thawed/seasoned a nice T bone steak for dinner yesterday but by the time I got done working and animal chores, it was already after 9pm, dark, and I was too sore and tired to want to deal with grilling (or eating) it. So I showered, dozed in my recliner for a bit and went to bed. I have to admit, I DID sleep last night :celebrate I cooked the steak for lunch today ~ an hour or so ago.

Really need to get back to work outside, but if I do today it will be hours from now when the sun has dropped and it's cooled down some.

Would a post puller help?

Post puller! We call them post poppers and man ours is worth it's weight in gold. They work well in all soil types. Or, do like we do and wrap a chain around them and use the tractor bucket to pull them. Even hard ground doesn't complain against a tractor.

@Latestarter, I can really sympathize with you. I just went out to top off the chicken's water dispensers and while the temp is only 89 at the moment with the potential to go up to 97, with the humidity at almost 60% it feels a lot hotter and is just plain miserable out.

I pulled four eggs out from under hens that really want me to leave the eggs under them and asked them if they were just plain nuts or were they just born that way and perfecting their insanity.

Meanwhile, my legit broody is on 4 eggs. She started with 6. One was infertile and the other quit at about 5 days. The remaining eggs are chugging right along. Very active embryos. She is on day 15 and since she is on bantam eggs I'm looking at them potentially hatching on Friday.:fl

Thanks all... Ron, I was using a T-post puller almost exactly like the one you pictured, along with chain, and a steel T-post puller plate that slides down the T-post and you attach the chain to.

Micro... man... I have had tractor envy for years... ever since I first started desiring to "become a farmer"... Now, if I could afford one, I'd have one, and those T-posts would be shaking in their concrete soil at the thought of me pulling them with it! :gig;) You talking about all you do with your tractor, and now Bruce has one as well, I just feel so depressed...:hit and poor... don't forget poor...

I was both pounding in and removing them yesterday. I have more of both to do. :(

Sorry about the kiddo's car Chicka, Happy that he walked away from the accident sans serious injury. Hope your test results come back "no biggie" and easily remedied.
