There was an article today about the dangers of the ash. I have not had any get on me yet but it sounds like it can really hurt your skin and lungs.
I imagine not all of that smoke and ash is 'organic' but actually toxic ...
:fl prayers to California for some rain for awhile.
 
I sure hope they can get them out soon. Between fire breaks, water, and chemicals, it would be nice if they got them contained quickly.
sorry i am late here.... Mendocino is the larges in California history... There is one burning in orange county straddling over to Riverside county called the Holy Fire... near lake Elsinore. I have been to a chicken Meetup at Elsinore....

The holy fire went from one or two acres to four thousand acres in two days.... Terrain is sharply hilly at the top Old grove forest tapering down to Chaparal and Grass lands.

Chaparal is OIly and half dead from drought. And the fire is burning Down hill... Self Generated winds are pushing it down the mountain. Terrain too rough to climb on foot.
