Penny if you like the flannel lined ones, LLBean's fleece lined are even better. Not too warm in the house though, when I have heat turned down, I sleep in them.

I got my down coat from LL Bean, down gloves, socks, scarves, and pink silk long johns, both top, and bottoms. The long johns are perfect for sleeping in, when the house is cold.

Safe... here. The Holy fire is headed away. I almost burst into tears today when I passed a CDF fire unit followed by the Batallion chief.... Battle scarred... Looked like they were heading home.... Some of them are doing 21 days on two days off. There are only three hundred men available for the Holy fire. Should be twice that but they are battling BIG fires elsewhere.

It is not new but it is much worse now. The fires season does not end now and fires are year round. There was a big one in December or January last year.

It is also hotter now than it was before. Each year we have the hottest summer on record...and it was last year. This year was already the hottest July on record---breaking the record from last years July. This is at least the third year of this happening

the ocean is warming too. this year they have recorded 80 degrees in some places...
For those who dont know the Pacific along California is normally around mid seventies in the summer and sixty ish in the winter. There are species of sharks that are breeding farther north than ever recorded...

Filter feeders are heading farther out where there is food. Blue Whales etc .... The grey whales come down here to calve in the sea of Cortez They dont eat all summer in great quantity....

People talk about the loss of forests.... Depeleting the oxygen.... But its the oceans and the plankton and algae there that generate the most .....

sorry I am on edge today.... Blood tests drs visits Grocery store hassle I barely ate all day and I am not hungry. Not like me... Normally I eat as a soporific..

even went through the wine aisle... Normally my go to.... not interested at all.

The plane my DW was on today had fire fighters coming from Australia to fight the menodino fire! We thanked them as they walked by
