The Old Folks Home

I got my down coat from LL Bean, down gloves, socks, scarves, and pink silk long johns, both top, and bottoms. The long johns are perfect for sleeping in, when the house is cold.

I have a set for that also and a over sized long sleeve t- shirt I love in winter pull my hands in

Deb you are finding your new normal be strong

Bought that in 68. I guess the ex ended up with it
I probably have the original record, have tons of them. I was born in '76 but grew up listening to all that stuff, Stone's to Sabbath, AC, to Allman Bro's, Bowie to Pete Seeger, Neil Young to REO... then lots of Willie and crew, J Cash,
Got lucky driving by my parents house many yrs ago and saw my mom had probably the only lawn sale I've ever heard of them having, getting rid of old junk. Had a table with stacks of all their old records, .25cents each.
Ughh!!!! You can't sell them!!
Packed them all up and drove off, didn't have to pay a dime lol
None of them in mint condition but all playable, and all the first, :yesss:

I got all their 8 tracks also. Remember way back in elementary school the school bus had a 8 track player and the high schoolers would hand the bus driver a tape and he'd put it in and play it. I was 7 or 8, handed him AC-DC's dirty deeds and he tossed it in, came to the song Big Balls, the high schoolers in the back had a riot with that, must of never heard it, I was the coolest kid on the bus that day :celebrate

Funny thing about loosing weight.... There really isnt a new normal... You wind up being the same person you were before you lost the weight... Only difference is people see you different.... More often will Look you in the eye when they talk to you... You respond and they listen.

I remember back when I lost fifty six pounds in twenty six weeks... Same me still insecure socially but working on it.... A fellow that would not give me the time of day walked past and said "Did you change your hair style?' "Nope" "You look so much more intelligent than you used to" 'Really" I said.... He Walked on Immersed in his own reflection.... The gal I was talking to just shook her head.

Wow, in the right place at the right time

quotes wont work... Diva and Penny.

This guy had a prestegeous degree from the Art Institute as a product designer. And I am sure hes somewhere ad miring all the awards he has achieved... Proabably deserved them. But.... He was no older than I was... Only difference between him and me was he could do a Felt pen rendering... there were a couple of people in there that could though. Another had an Art School Degree as well. Designed interiors for Saudi Princes... before he came there... Ho boy was he good... Could do a rendering in about twelve hours...

Hed hand it to me and say This is what I want it to look like. As an Electromechanical packager I would design all the Racks and panels to fulfill his vision. He probably made 50K a year ... At the time I was making about 15k a year... He tried to bring me in under his wing on a side job... I wasnt ready and I really wasnt fast enough.

Sigh this was before computers when I was drawing on paper still.
