Got one chick out of the egg. Went back to check things an hour later and mom had rejected it. Poor little thing is laying in front of her uncovered. She's a new broody so I tried to slip baby back under her and she pecked at it.

Yep, scooped it up. It's sleepy but peeping at me and now in the incubator along with it's three unhatched siblings. One has pipped. I'm hoping she didn't hurt the little one. It seems a bit weak but was having a hard time zipping and I chipped it out of it's egg so it could kick free on it's own, which it did.

Blackberry wasn't too happy with me when I fished her from her nest and plopped her on the roost bar.

My broody record for this summer sucks. Only Betty, the broody who's chicks are almost 5 weeks old has been outstanding. Everybody else just ....well, sux!

Looks like I'm back in the booder business.

The only one I ever saw is now a liquor store lol.
Kinda sucks though all the video store rentals going out. I never minded paying to rent a movie, but now with paying for netflix, hulu plus, had amazon for awhile, I don't want to pay for a movie online. Every once in a while I think of a old movie I'd like to re-watch and if they don't have it I don't want to pay to watch it once from elsewhere...
Heard Disney is going to start their own streaming service soon, hope they carry the old movies can't find them anywhere without paying , if you can even find any of them, and the video stores had lot's of them, the real movies not the cartoons. (though I like them also lol)

Deb, if you facebook message, and like long, winding conversations, look me up. I'm on fb as Hoppy Happy-Hen. May be hours between responses if I'm at work but pretty sure Dsqard and I have been holding a conversation via messenger for 8 years, now. It's convenient because it pops right up on my phone to respond back to and easy to send and receive photos.

And before any of y'all turn me in for that not being my real name, please note that I've already gone through that and provided fb with all of the necessary documents that show that that is my full, legal name.

My oldest and her bf graduated HS last yr, he is 28 on fb lol.
I don't look through fb much at all, but use messenger all the time. Don't have cell service where we live and sometimes you just want to send someone a quick message, can't text cause no service so messenger is super handy.

I may have planted 34604569 pumpkin plants this year.

My biggest one is a Hopi pale grey right now.

I don't need a machine to help me fall asleep anymore. Keeping up with the grandkids all day has me worn out by bedtime, and I sleep like a log.

falling asleep wasnt an issue... Staying asleep and being able to breathe was.... I would stop breathing thirty times per hour... and it woke me up enough to gasp for air... I had dreams of drowning or suffocating .... and fought all night long.

Now I only have maybe ONe single episode per night... The doc was very pleased. So was I. Now my dreams are normal and my usual vivid stories sight sound smell and taste...

loan you a silky have two laying eggs again they are done being mom's to the marans you could pop one under they would be ready to go again.. Someone stole a horizon air Q400 plane flying it saying they did not know how to land it 2 f-14 came out of Portland
started following it got out to one of the little island little plane went boom .. I think they shot it down so it could not get to our local air base
