I thought for sure, with hrs. Zof rain just literally dumping, the fire would be out. .........................Current Situation: Rain that moved through the area over the last two days tempered fire activity and has provided opportunities for firefighters to work in areas that would have been difficult to access safely a few days ago. Yesterday, firefighters reported minimal fire activity around the entirety of the fire perimeter, taking advantage of the lull to increase containment to 64%.

I have seen fires here burn at the roots during the winter and still be smoldering in the Spring. It is a very dangerous situation since you can fall into the pits created

Oh my goodness! I thought about how hot these fires must get after reading that this morning. Huge, makes them pretty bad. At least they are able to pull out equipment from quite a few zones now. The rain did help some.

good tackling that weight monster right now... seeing my Radiation Oncologist tomorrow for a follow up... Just saw my Diabetes specialist and found out I am doing very good... Yay.

Bibpap has me thinking more clearly too. So Its all good.

so I amfull of ideas... Dosent keep me from keeping my foot in mouth disease form popping up and inadvertantly hurting someones feelings.... Sigh... I really hate doing that....

but other than that I finished or almost finished one more pendant ... this one is for my cousin.

I am still alive also winning the war for my lungs with pneumonia had a great night sleep woke at 10 am bread is still frozen so have dry poptart to eat going to the girls shortly asked my BF to bring one of my favorite big tupperware bowls which is full to the coop I feel much stronger excited never to be one to let grass grow under my feet but knowing I was really sick kicking my butt style.. best no nightmares last night I take loratadine for allergies left them off the menu for a few days

Back in IL we had an old tree in the back yard that died. Wind knocked it over leaving a big stump that we decided to burn out. Started the fire, watched it until it died down and went in at nightfall. Got up the next morning to a hole where the stump used to be. The fire had burned out the entire trunk, root ball and remaining network of roots. Where the roots were close to the surface, little wisps of smoke rose from underground. It was a pretty impressive sight.

I just told DH that I didn't understand why we weren't hearing more about the Utah, Wash State, etc fires on the new feeds. They are so busy covering what celebrity is doing what to what other celebrity and ignoring what is important. Crazy world.

I am a Tequila purist myself... maybe a nibble on some lime... but I like the shots.... Just plain. Same goes for good Mexican Beer... a nibble on lime but not shoved down the neck.

Ooh a shot and some beer sounds good right about now.... havent had one in many many moons....
