The Old Folks Home

My neighbor (the one that didn't treat her birds and gave mine mites) just called to ask what she'd feed her chickens if she didn't want to spend money on chicken food any more.

I am really getting tired of her.

Her husband is a pharmacist (as am I... kindof - although lately I'm less into cerebral things and drugs and more into sandbox wars) and makes more money than I do. Granted, they have 2 kids, but I pay for all my bills without help from BF (with one exception - he recently added my cell phone to his family plan and pays that bill), and I've paid alimony to my ex husband in the not too distant past, and I never once considered not feeding my chickens to save money.

She's the same one that was keeping her chickens in a 2x3 foot dog crate (6 large birds) and not letting them out until noon (or later, if she remembered) and then complained to me that they were picking at each other and eating their eggs.

I am trying really hard to be nice and patient but I am thisclose to freaking out on her.

Thank you for letting me rant on here so that I can continue to have friendly(ish) relations with my neighbors.

That is all. You may now continue your regular scheduled broadcast.

Just to help the poor chickens, it is safe to cut the chicken feed in half and mix in Wheat. She can save money and the chickens will be ok that way.

Half wheat and half chicken feed.

Poor chickens....
